Adobe: Advanced Masking in Photoshop CS5

photoshop cs5 With large no. of advanced photo editing techniques packed into one bundle, Adobe’s Photoshop is the most advanced image editing tool.

Taking it further, Adobe is working on a new selection and masking tools for the upcoming Photoshop CS5. Adobe had removed “Extract filter” in Photoshop CS4, and now Adobe has had plans to bring its various parts back as built-in tools with all new sets of enhancements.

To begin with, Adobe has created a new selection tool that shows new smartness. The automatic selection in Photoshop is pretty accurate in grabbing the edge and smoothening the corners to show off very high detailed stripping for photos where color contrast is hard to seperate, otherwise.

Indeed, the tool is able to make a great-looking mask from a low-res photo of a cat and a baby. The detail is pretty high, especially the fur (soft edges) and the corners (hard edges). The user-customization makes it even better.
