Apple TV 2g gets Web Browser

Google TV gives you great web experience and great apps. Similar experience for browsing will now be possible on Apple TV 2G.

FireCore will be releasing a web browser and a Last.fm application for Apple TV 2g in an app called aTV Flash (black). The company would be releasing beta version of the app within few weeks. The web browser will be known as Couch Surfer,  and it would support most standard browsing features and standards.

Catch it in action in the video below:

aTV Flash is a user-friendly software package that supercharges your AppleTV, unleashing a plethora of new functionality. Don’t worry about the technical details – aTV Flash is simple to use and safe for your AppleTV. Installation is a snap and doesn’t require any physical changes to the AppleTV.

The app should be priced around $15 and will be free upgrade for existing aTV Flash users. More updates on this, soon.

Atleast this makes the Apple TV little more useful than a dumb streaming box.

  1. Apple TV’s user interface is the best of its kind.It offers Netflix and a handful of other online video, audio, and photo services, and can stream content from any iOS device or computer running iTunes.
