Blackberry Storm 3 Leaked, Specs looks great

RIM feels the heat, they plan for the “come back” with all new range of Blackberry phones that are touch (and multitouch) capable.

They are launching new BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Curve, and BlackBerry Torch 2, and the most powerful and closest Android/iPhone competitor: BlackBerry Storm 3. The Blackberry Storm 3 specifications are pretty impressive and will definitely position this Storm againt other top smartphones in the market. Storm 3 brings all the much awaited features including a high resolution display 800 x 480-pixel display. Storm 3 would feature an optical trackpad, not sure why.

The biggest upgrade would of course be in the core processor of the smartphone which nearly doubles from 600Mhz to 1.2Ghz.

RIM identifies Storm 3 under the codename of Monaco and Monza. Its still doubtful if they would be called as Storm 3 or a totally new line of devices, but what we’ve is for sure is its Specs.

Blackberry Storm 3 Specs:

  • Processor: 1.2GHz ARM9
  • Display: 3.7-inch 800 x 480 capacitive multitouch display
  • Connectivity: Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Tri-band UMTS/HSPA
  • Camera: 5-megapixel camera with 720p video recording
  • Storage: 8GB eMMC (storage for apps and data), 512MB of RAM, microSD slot
  • Sensors: Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer
  • Networks: Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, 2.4GHz b/g/n and 5GHz a/n Wi-Fi + UMA
  • Other features: 3G Mobile hotspot, Optical trackpad
  • Battery: 1230 mAh battery

  • OpenGL ES 2.0

The BlackBerry Storm 3 looks good for a release around September of this year, and from what we have been told, the Storm 3 will launch in two or possibly three versions globally.
