Dell Adamo XPS

Dell is teasing gadget freaks with a new ultra slim lineup of laptops: Dell Adamo XPS arrives very soon. The design is elite and specs are hot.

Here’s the math that makes this laptop thinnest it he world: 9.99 mm is about 0.39 inches. The original Adamo was .65 inches thin, and the MacBook Air is 0.76 inches at its thickest point, making the Adamo XPS concept nearly half as thin. But God only knows what they managed to cram inside, since they aren’t telling us yet.

It features a heat-sensitive strip on the lip that, when swiped with a finger, glows white and automatically opens the aluminum lid. Something you can expect from a $2000 laptop.

The glamorous machine is part of a larger effort within the Round Rock powerhouse to revitalize itself and get people talking once again, and while this particular slab will obviously not be a high volume product, it could very well get a few more eyes pointed in its direction.
