AirPlay Mirroring lets you Mirror your iOS Device screen to Apple TV. But with a simple hack, you can mirror it to your own Mac OS X, making the need of Apple TV go away.
Reflection is a very well pieced together mirroring receiver for OS X, allowing for ease-of-presentation on a larger display. It will set you back $14.99 for a single license, or a very reasonable $39.99 for five. In an age where many apps are overpriced, we don’t often see such significant bulk-savings.
Reflection is very responsive. The mirroring appears to be seamless, the video rendering is amazingly fast enough so that you can play games, or do all that you normally do natively on your iPad or iPhone. In addition to mirroring, there’s full audio support, along with an abundance of orientation and video optimization features which essentially turn your Mac into an elaborate iPhone or iPad.
In our testing, the Mirroring rarely caused any problems over our Wifi.
The app is very much in development but is usable without much hickups. Mirroring your iPad works workd great, and give yous a feel as if yu were using an Xcode Simulator.
