Google: GigaBit Fiber Internet Service

Tired of slow internet services? If few Mb/s is no longer your cup of tea, it’s time to be a part of Google’s new Experiment: Gigabit Internet Service.

Google is planning to build and test ultra high-speed broadband networks in a small number of trial locations across the United States. Google promises to deliver 100x times faster than most i.e. 1 gigabit per second, FTTH, fibre-to-the-home connections. (Comparing to typical 10mbps AT&T, Verizon FiOS)

With the new and faster internet, Google wants to see:

  • Next generation apps
  • New deployment techniques
  • Openness and choice:

The purpose is to learn from the capacity of High speed internets, explore the possibilities, rather than being an ISP. Watch the video to know more:

Google needs your feedback before March 26th, If you’d like to respond, suggest, visit this page.
