After all those leaked pics and videos, and detailed hardware specs of the Nexus one, we now see google announcing a Press event for Android on 5th Jan, 2010.

The date is same as predicted previously. Here’s the event details:
Nexus one’s launch is not official since Google is not saying much about the event except for “Android“. But, what else could it be? Android 2.0 was big thing for Android family, 2.1 is coming, that won’t see any dedicated event. Google’s Nexus One handset given to employees, leaked properly to web, confirmed by T-Mobile; at this point, the press conference is jsut a way to make it public, officially.

The phone has NO Google branding on it; It has Android branding. Albeit, no HTC branding either. Regardless, I don't understand what all the tension is about this phone. Yes, it's going to be a great phone; But Google has already “done their own phone” with the ugly T-Mobile G1.
