i unlocked and jailbroke an unactivated iphone 3g (3.0 firmware) using redsnow and ultrasnow. however after jailbreaking, no network signal is detected, keep getting 'restricted network' message after searching for network or switching on and off airplane mode

@JC
did u try settings> reset network settings and then reboot?

i would like to help you but the issue is this has to be reported at the http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/128573459/ultras-now
though they dont respond to user queries. They (DevTeam) launched the software that is supposed to work for most of the people.

Though u can try with the latest version if u havent already done tht.

@Paul.
Im afraid, there is no way to confirm that, atleast i dont know of any.
Its just breaking of a carrier frequency lock, I dont think so that info is available from baseband to iPhone OS. Baseband works independently

I just installed ultrasn0w and rebooted, but I don't have a handy SIM card to test with at the moment.

Is there a way to confirm unlock on the phone itself? Using Terminal perhaps?
