We love Chrome on desktops and Android. There’s nothing that beats Chrome on Desktop but there’s still a scope of improvement on mobile devices.
Nevertheless, Chrome’s great bookmark and Tab syncing features make it the most attractive and useful browser in the market may it be iOS or Android. So, admit it, everyone is addicted to Chrome. Best overall browser that gets anything done fast.
On Android you can set it as default browser ina single click but Apple has made it tricky, Safari would launch for clicks to weblinks from other apps.
However, a Jailbreak tweak can fix it all.
How to Make Chrome default Browser on iOS
BrowserChooser is a new jailbreak tweak available in Cydia, that lets you make Google Chrome your default browser on your iOS devices (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch).
Repo: Add the following repo in your Cydia: rpetri.ch/repo.
Pre-requisites: Jailbroken iOS device, of course.
Step 1. If you haven’t already, Download Chrome app on your iPhone, iPad
Step 2. To install BrowserChooser on your jailbroken device, open Cydia. Manage > Source > Edit > Add “rpetri.ch/repo”.
Step 3. Search for ‘BrowserChooser’ and install it.
When installed, you can set Chrome as default browser in settings app. Thats all.
