iOS 4 introduced Multitasking & a new handy way of task switching. But dues to lack of a back button and previews of running apps, its still not handy for few users.
Apple is listening its users and thats why they are now introducing new Multitasking gestures in upcoming iOS 4.3. With Four finger swipes, you can switch between tasks. This would be amazing for iPad, but looks awkward (at least for now) on a smaller screen of iPhone, iPod Touch.
