Nokia 3310 (2017) : Review

Nokia 3310, the name itself is pure nostalgia. The original Nokia 3310 was lunched during fag end of year 2000 (aka Y2K). It was gong to replace Nokia 3210 models. And it soon became a cult with 126 million units in sales worldwide. The company later experimented with various spin-offs like Nokia 3315, 3320, 3330, 3350, 3360, 3390 and 3395; each one being pretty successful in their own right.

The new Nokia 3310 (2017) is a major upgrade over the super successful predecessor. It has a colored 2.4″ display and also has a 2MP rear camera with LED flash. It seems like HMD team is attempting to relive their Nokia days. And yes they have included the Snake game too! The phone retains the candy bar shape and curved edges. And sports basic functions like FM Radio, Opera Mini Browser and voice recorder.

While buying this phone, one has to bear in mind that this is a phone made by a marketing guys and not techies. HMD has attempted to remake an older phone that intends to just keep the memories alive. The phone does has bare minimum tech of the current times, however in no way should it be compared to present market offerings.
