An app called WinOnX makes this a lot easier than installing Windows on a Virtualbox or VMware on your OSX. The app costs a mere $4.99, and makes things much easier.

Min Req: OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard
Step 1: Download WinOnX [Mac App Store].
Step 2: Open WinOnX and browse the .EXE file you want to run. This can be an installation file or a direct runnable .exe application.
