Samsung Galaxy Tab: Android Tablet

Samsung adds a new Tablet to Androids, what could be considered a competitor to the Apple’s iPad.

The 7-inch Galaxy Tab (previously called  S-Pad), runs Android with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top (similar to the Galaxy S). Samsung revealed it using strange resources: Tweets on Samsung Blog South Africa, it has a “high resolution” screen, it’s has a gorgeous AMOLED display which feeds on lesspower as compared to LED backlit iPad IPS display.

All Android apps would run out of the box with pixel doubling, However, the bad news is that Google currently doesnt allow dedicated Tablet form factor apps into the Market.  In the good side, Samsung  in introducing Samsung Apps store, which might host very platform-centric apps, but would be portable to ohter devices with minor modification when Google decides to lift the flood gates.
