Track your Pet Dog’s Activity with Puppy Tweets

I love keeping dogs, but while I’m at work, I lose the track of how he’s doing back at home. Was he barking too much lately because he was hungry or whether he was barking at alley’s tresspassers or too quiet for too long.

All this can now be monitored write via Twitter using Puppy Tweets, aa new electronic dog tag that sends messages to your home computer, Tweets to you. Puppy Tweet is a featureful gadget that can do most of the stuff with its sound and motion sensor that you attach to your pet’s dog collar and connect its USB receiver to your computer.

PuppyTweets comes from the maker of Barbie, He man viz MattelInc.

The next time your dog moves around or barks, the Puppy Tweets tag detects it and sends a Tweet via Twitter. All you have to do is follow your dog’s Twitter feed, and you know how he’s doing. It works with any Twitter account you configure it with.

The wireless range of this device should be equivalent to a bluetooth device, if not more. However, there is no specifications that provide detail on that. Another bad side is that your PC has to be up & running all the time.

Compatible with Windows, Mac OS X. (no Linux at this time)
