Cydia apps often open-up the possibilities for iOS users by letting them achieve, which are otherwise a far dream for Apple iOS devices.
Jailbreaking is a bliss for iPhone and iPad users. Cool Jailbreaking tweaks come almost every day, but keeping a track of all of them is impossible, that’s why we try to bring them to our reader’s notice.
How often did you wish you had easier and more accessible control over Display Brightness in iPhone, iPod Touch? iPad users have brithness adjustment available in the multitasking bar, but iPhone, iPod Touch users feel left out.
With Tweak called BrightVol, you can use Volume keys to adjust screen brightness, anytime anywhere, without losing the original functionality of the volume keys.
The cool tweak can be activated via the standard Activator app. What that means is that you can define your own gestures to activate or deactivate brightness control with Volume keys. Once the tweak is enabled, the volume keys will control screen brightness for next 30 seconds, after that it will switch back to standard functionality of controlling system volume.
By default, you can activate it by pressing both Volume up + Volume down together. If you wish to change that, you can always do that via Activator. Whichever Gesture you chose, whenever you perform the activation gesture, you will see a HUD with nothing but the brightness icon in the middle of it. If you perform the gesture again (Volume up + down), it will bring it back to the volume.
One thing to note here is that BrightVol doesn’t create any menu in settings, its only visible inside Activator, no need to look elsewhere. BrightVol is free and can be downloaded from the BigBoss repo from the Cydia store.
