Big news for those who watch movies, videos on iOS Devices: iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, VLC Player is here to play them all.
This is based on a previously released iPad version, but comes with new features, better file format support. In addition, it offers performance improvements, and allows for the deletion of files right through its own interface.
Compatibility: iPhone 3GS or newer.
On the android side of things, theres no official VLC media player, but you can play almost any format: WMV, AVI, DivX, MKV, rmvb, on android with VPlayer.
This new version of VLC brings:
– Runs on the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and the recent iPod touches
– You can now delete files from the application, without having to go through iTunes
– Many more extensions are being recognized.
– Much faster decoding thanks to assembly optimizations
