Enable iPhone Internet Tethering

iPhone officially, doesn’t support Internet Tethering on all models. But here is a process that allows you to use your iPhone as a Wireless modem to share its Internet connection with a computer via WiFi, USB cable or Bluetooth interface on iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS on anyFirmware: 3.0 or Firmware 3.1.2

The app that we are going to use is called MyWi

Main Features of MyWi v3.1.8:

Pre-requisites: Make sure your iPhone is jailbroken: Jailbreak, Unlock iPhone on 3.1.2

Step 1: Open Cydia, search for “MyWi” and install it. Install RockApp manually if it isn’t installed automatically with MyWi app.

Step 2: Now start RockApp and create a free Rock ID, sign-in and you should probably, now see an update to MyWi app. Restart your iPhone after the update.

Step 3: Open MyWi app and turn on the option for USB/Bluetooth tethering.

Step 4: Navigate to Settings->General->Network->Internet Tethering and turn on the toggle for Internet Tethering.

That’s it! Ask me any question should you run into problem in enabling Tethering on your iPhone running firmware 3.1.2.
