Google Invests in Future Predictor

Google Ventures had been working under the hood secretively and today they did “Show and Tell” for the secretive investment, disclosing who works there, and what they’re investing in.

Google has invested in a company that can “See the future”.

The core of Recorded Future seems to be a search engine that looks for chronological data. In other words, it intelligently studies data references in the past, ad predicts things that are supposed to happen in the future — and the result is some interesting graphs, charts, stats, etc.

Google is not revealing much info about the company. Luckily, the Boston Globe’s Scott Kirsner did some background-research, earlier this year. Here are some videos that describe what the company does, and what makes it unique.
