Nokia isn’t just an erstwhile popular phone series, its a Beacon by which a whole generation stood-by.
That being a prominent thought while on the way to attend the Nokia 8 launch event, we just kept our fingers crossed. Kept the heard rumors and pre-launch news t one dark corner of our minds. What we were hoping for was a Flagship Smartphone which could stand up to the world and re-gain its lost glory.
A premium phone with IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is a let down. Though the resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels is a saver but still an AMOLED is an expected feature. And the screen size of 5.3 inches with 69.4% screen-to-body ratio is again not much of a trend breaker.
The phone will come with an out-of-the-box Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) and will be upgraded to Android 8 Oreo. Like all latest Androir phones, the Nokia 8 will sport a USB 3.1 Type-C connector for charging.
A splash-proof only Flagship is short-coming in the world of Water-proof Flagships. By the way, the speaker on the Nokia 8 is loudest among the OnePlus 5 and Samsung Galaxy S8. And it has 3.5mm jack for audiophiles. The ANT+ Support should be a hit among fitness freaks or those who like to monitor their activities.
Phone will be available in Tempered Blue, Polished Blue, Steel, Polished Copper color options.
