BlackBerry 6 – Deeply Inspired from iPhone, Android

RIM is back in the game with a  shameless copy of Android, iPhone interface in its latest Blackberry 6 OS.

Everything is revamped and they call it “Flow UI”.

There have been rumors that the first volley of BlackBerry 6-powered devices showing off goodies likes aggregated social network integration, universal search, and — of course — the all-new WebKit-based browser, which would bring Android, iPhone identical browsing experience to Blackberry OS. RIM has only showcased on Multitouch devices, no one knows what happens to their popular form factor that made them famous – -wide screen, with wide keyboard.

In addition to the new fluid user interface, the video below illustrates a few of the new applications and features in BlackBerry 6 that are designed to provide users with a mobile experience that is fun and approachable, yet extremely powerful.

  1. In almost ten years I worked at Research In Motion (RIM), I've never been so excited about the launch of BlackBerry ® software BlackBerry I'm 6, which is on track to release this summer.

  2. I personally can't stand the touch screen interface of the Storm and prefer to having a full tactile keyboard for my blackberry. The new interface looks good, but I wonder about performance?

  3. meh…too little too late. I've got a Storm, and it's always crashing, the interface is kludgy and ugly as sin, and so far I'm not impressed with this new one. Good luck RIM, hope it's actually good, but like with any product, if you don't do your due diligence, you're left in the dust. The Storm just isn't on par.
