You don’t really need a high-end camera to shoot 3d photos/scans, you can now do so with your iPhone’s front camera. Trimensional lets you capture 3D scans with your iPhone, using a simple analogy.

How it Works: To get started, crank up the brightness of your iPhone 4 to max, and stand in a dark place. Hold the phone screen up to your face (around 20cm away) with theTrimensional app loaded, and tell it to starts scanning.

The result is a 3D scan of your face. The quality exclusively depends on how dark is the environment around you.
