Apple desktops now have touchpads too. The new Magic Trackpad from Apple brings the Macbook Pro features to Mac Pro and iMac owners like multitouch, gestures, over bluetooth.
Basically, Magic Trackpad is a MacBook Pro touchpad on steriods. With 80% more surface area for all those nasty gestures, it’s a possible mouse replacement that itself acts like a one big button. Some of the popular gestures would include: two-finger scrolling, pinch to zoom, fingertip rotation, and three- and four-finger swipes, all of which can be enabled or disabled in Preferences.
The bluetooth functionality allows you to operate the it from up to 33 feet away.
Magic Trackpad runs on two AA battteries, which comes with six AA batteries accompanied with charger, which Apple claims to be the Greenest Charger. The AA batteries that ship along with are designed to last for hundreds of charges.
Suits your Design
The Magic Trackpad gives you the same feel as of Apple’s wireless keyboard — same design and angles as Apple’s wireless keyboard.
Magic TrackPad Pricing
It’s available now at $69, worth the price, provided you appreciate the value it adds.
