After nearly a year of rumors, we finally see a solid statement from apple that could becomes a potential proof of launch of Tablet in the Near Future.
As BusinessInsider reports, Apple is setting it’s guns ready to:
Show off a new, larger mobile device with a higher resolution display in January — probably a version of the Apple tablet we’ve been hearing about for months — according to a plugged-in source in the mobile industry.
Apple has been telling some app makers to prepare apps for a demo next month, according to this source. “They’ve told select developers that as long as they build their apps to support full screen resolution — rather than a fixed 320×480 — their apps should run just fine,” our source says.
The plans looks similar to what we reported earlier: The device would be demoed in the month of January but would go on sale later in the year probably during WWDC 2010 (or may be in March?) The purpose is to give developers enough time to write decent number of apps for the gadget before it hits the market.
The predictions intersect with Boy Genius report, which said “Apple is “100%” likely to announce a 7-inch tablet in January”. Not just that, the FT also suggests Apple could unveil a tablet next month.
In addition to 7″, the company would also launch earlier predicted 10- to 11-inch tablet.
I guess 2010 is getting a great start with two big announcements: Nexus One and Apple iTablet.

i dont think apple is aiming at a small device, i think they will continue their “reinventing schemes” like reinventing the phone and now i think the are aiming on reinventing the a laptop with something new.
