You new found love OS X Lion is a pleasure to use, but you miss the days of free notification that Growl gave you in previous versions of OS X.
Growl is now available for $2 in App Store but we know, not a price that one can’t afford but often we tend to look for Free alternative, Growl Fork is the solution.
It looks like Growl, it behaves like Growl, and it is Growl Fork.
It works exactly the same, for the first run, you still have the same preferences in which you can choose the apps you want to run Growl with and choose to auto-start growl at startup.
The app is actually nothing but a recompiled older version of Growl made to support Mac OS X 10.7 Lion.
