Galaxy SIII was rooted before it was even launched and all this time the Rooting process has become easier.
CF-Root is the easiest of them all when it comes to rooting. This CF-Root comes from Android community member Chainfire and includes app SuperSU, ClockWorkMod build 5.5, as well as CWM Manager.
Note: This tutorial is only for Galaxy SIII i.e. GT-i9300. This guide works only on Windows.
How To ROOT Galaxy SIII GT-i9300
- Download ODIN 1.85, the tool you’ll need to flash the CF-Root package onto your device.
- Download the CF-Root-SGS3-v6.0.zip package, and extract.
Step 1: Unpack CF-Root archive, and you should see CF-Root-SGS3-v6.0.tar. Connect your device to computer and Run ODIN.
Step 2. In Odin, Click PDA and select .tar file extracted in Step 1.
Step 3. Download mode: Next, we put your device to download mode by holding Volume Down + Home + Power simultaneously. Reconnect your phone to PC once in download mode.
Step 4. Click Start, and ODIN will do the needful. In couple of minutes, your SIII would be rooted with CWM recovery installed.
