Install Google Now w/ Offline Voice Search on Android [Easy]

We’ve shown you How to install Jellbean Google Now Voice search on any android, with caveats. However, over time the process have been improved and now its ready for Prime time.

You can now Install Jellybean’s Google Now on Any Android ICS with fully function Offline / Online Voice search and Voice dictation.

This new version allows you to dictate and use Google Voice offline for dictation and more.

Steps are pretty easy and straightforward.

How To Install Google Now with Voice search on Android

Pre-requisite:

1. You must have a Rooted android phone/ tablet running ICS.
2. Download zip file from here.

Step 1. Save the zip file (inverted or normal) on SD card and boot into CWM recovery.

Step 2. Choose install from zip, and locate the downloaded zip.

Step 3. Flash the zip and reboot when done.

That’s all Google Now with Voice search should now be enabled on your Android device. If you run into any problems, check the official XDA thread.

How to Use Google Now Cards

Google Apps that update the NOW Cards
-Google Chrome
-Doing your search on chrome mobile or at home and signed in via G-mail, Google Now will update based on what you have searched
-Google Maps
+Search a city on Maps and get direction and Google Now will update your traffic to the searched location.
+ Search a Place on Maps and get direction and Google Now will update the traffic to that location and it will tell you how far you to that place.

Traffic
If you want it to give traffic information from home to work make sure your home and work location is set on latitude, it will update it self and give you traffic information from where ever you are at.
-Navigate to xx
-Directions to xx
-Take me to xx

Stock
-Stock price of xx, quote for xx

Flights
A Now card will appear of a flight you’ve searched for.
-Flight name + flight number (ex. “Delta Air Lines flight 4183”)

Schedule
– It will read your calendar and post it on G-Now, if you don’t want it to, just go to setting and change it.
– Appointments with a certain destination will show up on the Now card and it will give traffic information to your appointment’s destination.*Furthermore, It will notify you when you should leave so you can be able to make it to your destination on time.

– Set Alarm for________
-Remind me to________ in 2 hours

Weather
Weather will update by itself on G-Now based on your location.
-What’s the weather like
– What’s the weather like in__________
-Will I need a jacket today? Many other questions
Places
A now card will display the places you have searched when traveling so you can find your best restaurant near by.
-call + (places name)
– map of (places name)
– (place name) near by

Your Phone related

-Call + (contacts name)
-Text + (contacts name) + (message)
-Send email to (contact name)(,)(message)

Music
-Play (artist name)
-Play (songs title)

Movies or Shows
public transit
