Iron Man 2 for iPhone, iPad Review

Gameloft is bringing some great titles to iPhone and the iPad. After the bringing some popular games like Hero of Sparta, Assasin’s Creed, Terminator slavation, Avatar, Asphalt 5,  they are now bringing  Iron Man 2, inspired from the upcoming movie.

The game offers various showdowns against Whiplash, Ultimo, and Firepower. On the other hand the popular Tony Stark will have War Machine at his side as a playable hero. Tony Starks enemies have their own super suited droness and they want to take Iron Man and War Machine down. Fight Ultimo, Firepower, Whiplash and armies of other enemies to prove that the only the original armored hero is the best.

Play as Iron Man for speed and agility or suit up as War Machine: Both suits offer easy-to-learn controls and the ability to run, hover and fly at will. He has a number of suits in his garage: Mark IV, Mark VI, Stealth, and Underwater. Each suit is upgradable, so by the time you reach the final battle, your Repulsors and Unibeam should be at full-power.

Iron Man 2 features nine stages across the globe constructed in full 3D, from Stark Expo in New York to a jungle war zone in Somalia.. You get to fight not just against heavy arch-enemies, but also powerful robot armies and human foes. Iron Man 2 uses virtual controls that are adjustable across the screen (for iPad) and look very similar to that of Avatar and Hero of Sparta. Its less than obvious, these controls are pretty hand hand would give you almost no trouble during all action sequences.

The Graphics look great, way better than one would see on Avatar. The flames, the smoke, are smooth and vibrant. The surroundings are average, but smooth under all environments even when running on 1st gen iPhone.

The sound effects are better, than most Gameloft games, specially the OST Black Sabbath classic Iron man is a good choice. The Laser shots and destructions are poor at leaving a pleasing experience.
