AR-driven EyePet can make an adorable gremlin crawl around your living room floor. Sony’s new SmartAR solution loosens the limitations on augmented reality, bringing it a step closer to genuine usefulness, closer to Reality.

SmartAR, unlike traditional Augemnted reality programs, doesn’t require visual markers, like the 3DS AR cards. Its intelligent enough that it can generate the animation on just another photo. What’s more is that with its high speed object tracking, the photo can then be rotated, moved, or even dropped to the floor without causing a hiccup in the overlay. It handles all the 3-dimensions bringing a 100% seamless 3d experience.
