We talked about how you can Install Ubuntu on Android easily. Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, wants to take it even further by officially bringing and Ubuntu Linux to your Dual core android phone.
A new product called Ubuntu for Android has been announced that will bring the popular Linux distribution to high-end Android smartphones. This will be no fork or port, it would be a complete Ubuntu desktop experience that runs along with Android, without compromises.
Ubuntu would run when Android phones is docked, just like Motorola Atrix did. Users would be able to dock the device with external monitor and keyboard / mouse, to enjoy full and portable desktop system: Carry your PC in your pocket.

Ubuntu for Android runs on top of the Android kernel, more specifically optimized for dual and futuristic multi-processor ARM based Android devices. Ubuntu on Android provides good amount of integration with the Android environment on the user’s phone, which is way better than running an isolated Ubuntu dual booting with android.
Ubuntu Apps, Deep Android Integration
It includes a number of desktop applications like Chromium Web browser, the Thunderbird e-mail client, the Gwibber social networking program, the VLC video player, and lots of other software to chose from. There is even a unified contacts app that syncs with Android address book. It also works well with Social networking accounts configured in Android. They are configured by default in Gwibber.
Ubuntu gets full access to network connectivity i.e. Wifi , Bluetooth, 3g, 4g. Ubuntu TV environment is also part of Ubuntu for Android, a full media center experience when it is plugged into a television.
