Bill Gates Confesses – “I Stopped using Facebook “

It’s hard to be a Celebrity and stay on a Social Network site.

Bill Gates’s confession today, at an event in New Delhi, India, came up as a shocking surprise for the Industry. He gave up on Facebook because he failed to live up to the friend requests. Gates expressed that “There were 10,000 people wanting to be my friends after I tried out the service … it was time consuming to decide if I knew this person, did I not know this person”.

That kind of thing is Expected 🙂 why is every one shocked?

In addition to  that, He mentioned “Facebook was just way too much trouble so I gave it up, I’m not that big at text messaging”.

Gates also mentioned that he doesn’t spend all day using technology and that “All these tools of tech waste our time if we’re not careful. I’m NOT a 24-hour-a-day Tech person”.

From this statement, it’s clear that a growing number of Facebook users are. It’s the very reason why Microsoft has a stake in the networking giant, as users’ time and attention are increasingly consumed by these somewhat addictive services.

It’s like it’s my company’s product which has side effects, I don’t want to use it, let people be a trap.

I have never seen Bill Gate’s Facebook page. Even when I tried searching, it yielded nothing. No idea what his Facebook page looks like, but we’d like to imagine it’s similar to this hilarious mockup, seen on PC World:
