How to Enable Google Maps Navigation outside USA

Google Maps Navigation provides a Rich mapping experience on Android. Not only it is the best Maps Navigation app on mobile devices, its the best across all GPS devices, and that too everything works with Offline maps.

Due to some unknown reasons, Google has restricted the powerful Navigation capabilities just to US. StreetView of course is just available to few countries, but Navigation does so many things, so nicely.

Developer Brut.all hacked the Google Maps android apk using reverse engineering tools to enable navigation and few other customizations. But the latest tweak post on XDA lets you do it yourself, with minor effort. And of course if you are lazy enough or n00b, you can download it straightforward.

Pre-requisites: A Rooted Android phone: Use any of our easy rooting guides.

Method I: (Easy) Uninstall existing Maps from Applications. Download and install this APK. (Might work without ROOT)

Method II: Works with any Official Google Maps version

Using Titanium Backup, select Maps and make a backup. Then, select Maps and wipe data, after that uninstall, continue by selecting Street View and wipe data, then uninstall. Now install Google Maps 5.2.1 ownhere-resign.apk provided, go to market, and reinstall street view.
