Jailbreak iPad 3.2 with Spirit

Download: Windows | Mac

Step 1. Update your iTunes to latest version (9.1.1), if not already.

Step 2. Run the downloaded Spirit jailbreak.

Note: Windows 7 users: Run Spirit in Compatibility Mode

Step 3. Connect your iPad 3G or iPad WiFi via USB cable and once detected, Hit the Jailbreak button to Jailbreak iPad.

Sit back and relax, your iPad will reboot and some progress bar will appear. Once iPad reboots, Cydia icon will be available on iPad Home screen.

  1. If you are a Windows user, right-click on the 'Spirit.exe' file and select 'properties', go to 'Compatibility' tab, check 'run this program in compatibility mode', and choose 'Windows 98/Windows Me', then hit 'OK' button. This will prevent you from getting the error code c0000005.

    • When I run in compatibility mode, there is an error message that pops up that says that my itunes needs to be itunes 9 (and it is…). can I fix this some how?

  4. Hmm, I have jailbroken my iPad already, thanks for the helpful guide anyway.
