Whatever begins must have an end. The Piracy giant Hackulous’s App Store called Installous is gone forever.

So the pirated App Store is gone, that should be a good news right? Not for everyone. Installous, although illegal, had one significantly ethical usage: It allowed you to try before you buy, a thing that is not possible on Apple iOS App Store. Google Play store has 15 minutes time bucket in which user can ask for refunds if the app looks horribly different from expected.
However, App store leaves no such opportunity. that’s where Pirated app stores like Installous came s handy. Hackulous wasn’t everything, there are several alternatives already available.

Top Hackulous Installous Alternatives
IPA files can be downloaded from sites like http://apptrackr.cd
1. AppCake stands out as one doesn’t need AppSync for AppCake to run it.
AppCake supports both iOS 5 and iOS 6 / 6.0.1.
AppCake usage is a cake walk. AppCake is a simple utility to quickly search and install IPA files on your Jailbroken iDevice within minutes.
To get started, add http://cydia.iphonecake.com to Cydia and when refreshed, search for AppCake, install AppCake or AppCake+ for iPhone, iPod Touch and AppCake HD for iPad.
Reboot the device when installation succeeds.
AppCake should now be available on Springboard, open it browse categories and search for apps.
2. App VV / vShare
App VV (vShare) requires AppSync to be available. But now that Hackulo.us repo is gone forever, new users are out of direct luck. Lookout for AppSync from other repos that still have them. (Google is your best friend). Once you’ve the AppSync installed, you’re good to go.
App VV lets you install pirated IPA files on your jailbroken iOS device from Cydia directly. You can install App VV by adding repo http://repocydia.com in cydia. Once added, search for App VV and install it.
App VV will not directly appear in springboard. You’ll have to go to installous app and goto Downloads tab. click on the App VV and install it. When done, vShare icon will appear on your springboard .
Launch the vSphere app, even though app is in chinese, app names and searching is in english. Troubleshooting: Make sure you’ve removed all AppSync before installing it. If you still have troubles, watch this video.
3. i-Funbox comes as a desktop app, it’s easy and fun to use. But it requires AppSync which used to be available via http://cydia.hackulo.us.

4. Zeusmos (Paid) [No-Jailbreak required]
Zeusmos is another effective way of signing and installing IPA files on the device itself just like Installous. However, it comes for a price with two variants. A more consumer friendly version costs nearly $15/year.

5. Kuaiyong
This is another alternative which lets you install IPA files but requires you to download and sign IPAs on desktop.
Kuauyong is available in chinese but you can easily find english tutorials on the web.
