Energy Earphones Sport 1 Bluetooth : Review

Energy Sistem is a Spain based company with presence in all five continents. We unbox and review the Energy Sistem Energy Earphones Sport 1 Bluetooth. The Earphones slee looking pair with microphone capabilities. The loop provided over each side fits well over the ears and adds Sport functionality. The design provides for an ergonomic fit and the various bud sizes provided in the box pretty much cover all ear canal sizes.

Body: The dual tone color setup looks good in hands and when tried on. The touch and feel of the plastic components is kinds sturdy and feels smooth. Volume up and down buttons are provided on the top side of the Right Ear module. LED indicator is also provided on the right module depicting the status of the phones and has two colors Red & Blue. The charging port is also on the left side with a MicroUSB port on the under-side. The same is covered by a rubber plug and a mic is present next to it. The earphone speakers are tilted inwards towards the ear canal and when fitted with correct size buds, cover up the ear canal well. The earphones measure 36 x 20 x 12 mm and weigh 20 grams.

Connectivity: The Power On/Off and Connect button needs to be pressed once (for upto 2 seconds) to turn on the headset in Bluetooth mode and continuously blinking Blue & Red LED light turns on. Long press for more than 5 seconds to enable new Bluetooth connection and the LED blinks Blue and Red alternatively. The device was easily ‘Visible’ on the Bluetooth radars of Smartphones (Pixel 2, iPhone 8 and OnePlus 6) and on Windows 10 laptops as well.

The Headphones come with Bluetooth 4.2 and have a range of approx 10 meters.

Ergonomics: The ear buds fit well into ears and the loops hang around the ears. Not the best looking earphones, but definitely the best fitting ones and they sound good too.

Sound: The sound is way above the looks of this set of earphones. A class apart sound experience. The looks of the dual tone earphones may not make you stand out of the crowd, but the sound delivery is going to take you way above it and feel elated. Pushing the volumes to the extremes distorts the sound and Bass rendering it unbearable. It serves the purpose for metro-motile urban person who expects quality sound minus the wire mess. The device has Bluetooth v4.1, Class II and has decent sound range of upto 10 meters.

The microphone located at the at the bottom, next to micro USB port has a decent reception. It is only as good as the ambient sound you use it in.

Battery: The Lithium polymer of 100 mAh enables the listener to enjoy Playback time of a meager upto 6 hours (under test conditions). The battery takes upto hour to charge fully. A micro USB cable is provided in the box, hence eliminating the need to buy separate charging cable. company claims standby battery life of upto 300 hours.

Package Contents: Along with the Earphones, the package contains micro USB charging Cable, Interchangeable pads (Buds) and Guide (Documentation).

Color Options: The Headphones are available in four colors, namely : Red, Blue, White and Graphite (our favorite).

All in all, the Energy Sistem Headphones 1 Bluetooth is a good pair for a within budget economics. It is both wired (line-in) and wireless, average build quality, clunky plastic buttons, foldable, and gives an out of budge sound delivery. The click quality of the buttons could have been better. You’ll love to have them on your head and you will not be much morose in case you break them or lose them.

The Energy Sistem Headphones 1 Bluetooth is definitely the OnePlus of headphones, delivering good quality sound with a relatively low price bar.
