As the Google Pixel 3 launch is only hours away, we compile all the info available off the net regarding the upcoming devices and give you a perspective on things to come. With a regular and heavy flow of chunks of leaks info about the the two devices, the Google Pixel 3 has undoubtedly become the most leaked smartphone device in history. More so the device testers have not relented on Google and have not left the onlookers with much to imagine.
Although like the previous models, the Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL are expected to have identical internal specs, they will vary largely with different external appearances.
The device covers for both the Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL were among the first leaks, giving out the dimensions for both the devices. As far as the design goes, Google is expected to carry forward the Glass-metal marriage to the next level with seamless integration of both into the uni-body. And wireless charging is expected to be introduced. Thereby leading to the launch of the Pixel Stand or Dock. Hence a Google Home of sorts will come to life with the Pixel 3 device. Perhaps a Google Home with a Smart screen ability or maybe this will be contents of a separate product announcement.
Rear finger print sensors will continue to be at the same place as the original Pixel and Pixel 2. From the Big Bold notch on the Pixel 3 XL model to the latest alleged un-boxing videos surfacing on the web, Google Pixel 3 is perhaps the most leaked device in the history of smartphone launches. While the Pixel 3 will have the conventional notch housing dual front camera setup, the Pixel 3 XL however, the notch on Pixel 3 XL will accommodate the front dual camera.
Google has caught up rather quickly with Apple iPhone in most of the industrial design capabilities, which, ofcourse, are supposedly outsourced to HTC. The much anticipated wireless charging will now be a reality with the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, thanks to the new design.
While the already robust dual pixel camera is expected to see software updates, it does not seem to get dual camera setup yet. However, most of the OEMs have already made rear Dual Camera a standard spec in their smartphones. Google has focused more on the front camera and given it a front Dual Camera (one wide angle lens) upgrade for wider and deeper selfie shots.
The recently released Google Japan video indicated towards side-squeeze feature in the upcoming Pixel 3. Something that Pixel 2 has carried on pretty gracefully off the HTC lineage.
Going deeper under the hood, we expect to see a Snapdragon 845 processor with Adreno 630 GPU with 4 GB of RAM. And a non-expandable 64 GB or 128 GB internal memory is expected. Supported adequately by Android 9 (Pie) OS.
Expect the launch event to feature three vivid colors – White, Black and Sand Pink.
While much of the specs and features are already known, we expect nothing less of Google Pixel 3, it ought to become our daily driver after the Google Pixel 2.
